DOCBT – Dance One Contemporary Ballet Theater

This pre-professional dance company explores a fusion of classical ballet and modern dance through various performance opportunities.  DOCBT has performed at the Kennedy Center, The National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. and Lincoln Center.

We are proud to announce the new company members for 2016 – 2017

 

 

Jaclyn Bihl is a 7th grader at Immaculate Conception Academy. She has been dancing for about 4 years having danced one year at another studio before coming to Dance One at 9 years old. Jackie has studied jazz, ballet, pointe, and modern.  This will be Jackie’s first year in DOCBT.  Jackie wants to continue dancing throughout college and hopes to be a professional dance teacher. In her spare time, Jackie likes to go shopping and hang out with her family and friends.

 

Brooke Myers has been dancing with Dance One Studios for 11 years and has taken jazz, hip hop, ballet, modern and tap. Brooke is in the 8th grade at Springford Area School District. Brooke is excited for her year performing with DO Crew and DOCBT.

 

Cassandra Roberts is 17 years old and has been dancing for 14 years. She has studied tap, jazz, ballet, and modern. Cassandra has attended a modern, ballet, african, and jazz intensive instructed by Dr. Leslie Netting. She has also attended two jazz workshops, instructed by Shelia Barker, a Broadway workshop with Tessa Netting, and a modern workshop with the Martha Graham Company. This is Cassandra’s sixth year as part of DOCBT/DOCBT II and her fifth year in Do Tap. Cassandra has danced at Lincoln Center, Cherry Blossom Festival, Disney World, Dorney Park, Hershey Park, The Wilma Theatre, Relay for Life and other smaller performances. Cassandra is a senior at Daniel Boone High School and wants to attend a four year college majoring in Education/Teaching Dance. In her spare time, Cassandra loves to read, play with her dogs, and hang out with her friends.
