Ballet Program Instructor
Catherine Long, originally from Downingtown, PA has over 24 years of performance, choreographic, and teaching experience in dance. Miss Catherine received her BFA in Dance Performance from Towson University; spending part of her junior year abroad studying dance in Reggio, Italy and ultimately graduating magna cum laude. In June of 2008, Miss Catherine was asked to present her choreography for the National Dance Education Organization conference in Maryland. Her professional performance experience includes the Roxey Ballet Company, Ballet ADI, Reverie Dance Theatre, and freelance dancer throughout the greater Philadelphia area. Miss Catherine’s teaching experience includes Fort Lauderdale Children’s Ballet Theatre, University of Pennsylvania Recreation Center, Baltimore City Public Schools, and Moving Company Dance Center. She has also taught for the Outreach programs of the Roxey Ballet and Mill Ballet School. Miss Catherine has successfully completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum.
