DOCBT II – Dance One Contemporary Ballet Theatre II

This apprentice company prepares dancers for the Dance One Contemporary Ballet Company.  They perform in the Company Spring Concert, as well as locally and at Hershey Park.

We are proud to announce the new company members for 2018 – 2019

 

Emily Ann Berhammer Emily Berkhammer started dancing at the age of four. She loves to dance and is currently studying Pointe, Ballet, Hip Hop and Modern at Dance One Studios. This is her second year in DOCBT II. She has danced at Hershey Park and enjoys learning new moves and variations with other company members. Emily is in the 8th grade at Immaculate Conception Academy in Douglassville.  When Emily is not at dance she is helping others in her community. Emily also enjoys crafting, sewing, baking, drawing and painting. She is fun loving, light hearted and a good friend.

Leah Cochran started dancing at the age of 9. She loves to dance and is currently studying Pointe, Ballet, and Modern at Dance One Studios. Prior to discovering her love of dance, she trained in gymnastics from the age of 3. This is her first year in DOCBT II. Leah is in 6th grade at Owen J. Robert School district. She also studies violin and plays with her school orchestra.  She also is a member of Coventry Christian School strings orchestra. When Leah is not dancing, she loves to spend time with her horse and dog.

 

Laura Fiorani is a senior at Daniel Boone High School. She has been dancing at Dance One studios for 7 years. Laura has studied tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, ballet, and acro. This is her third year in DO TAP, and first year in DOCBT II. Laura has attended jazz and modern masterclasses instructed by Dr. Netting, and Steven Vaughn. She also had the privilege to dance at Carnegie Hall, Disney World, Hershey Park, and Kutztown University.  Laura loves performing and can’t wait for all the opportunities DO TAP and DOCBT II have to offer this year.

 

Victoria Loomis has been dancing since she was 2 years old. Dance One has been her studio for the past 4 years. She is currently in seventh grade in the Owen J. Roberts School District. This is her second year on DOCBT II and she is excited to continue on her dance journey! She has enjoyed performing at Kutztown University, Hershey Park and at senior centers. She will be accomplishing a huge goal this winter when she dances at Lincoln Center in NYC. In the future her goal is to be a professional dancer and then a dance teacher. In her free time she likes to have fun with her friends.

Holly Lucas is 12 years old and in 7th grade. She attends Owen J. Roberts Middle School where she is a member of the Varsity Singers.  Holly took her first dance class at the age of 3. Dance One Studios has been her dance home for the last 6 years.  This is her first year with DOCBT II and she couldn’t be more excited about this new adventure!  Holly has studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip hop but her real passion lies with pointe.  You can always find her smiling and on her toes!  When Holly is not dancing she enjoys cooking, sewing, singing, crafting, listening to music, spending time with her sister and hanging out with her friends.

 

Audrey Porch has been dancing since she was four at Dance One. She is currently 15 years old and in the 9th grade. She has studied jazz, ballet, modern, and pointe. Audrey wants to continue dancing throughout college and hopes to become a dance teacher.

Sami Scicchitano is currently a senior at Berks Catholic High School. She started dance at the age of 12 and has been dancing at Dance One Studios since 8th grade. Throughout the years Sami has studied jazz, tap, modern, and ballet. Her favorite is ballet and she’s excited for her first year in DOCBT II! Sami had preformed at Kutztown University, Hershey Park, and Walt Disney World. She is looking forward to all her performances this year and can’t wait to be part in the experience.

Phoebe Weber is a homeschooled ninth grader from Oley.  She discovered Dance One at the age of five when she attended Princess Camp, and has continued to dance ever since, studying ballet, pointe and modern.  When she’s not at the studio, she enjoys art, sewing, baking, and loves all things penguins and pineapples.  She is very excited to be a part of DOCBT II for a second year.
