Miss Maddie

Jazz Program Instructor

Madison Brown was born and raised in Pennsylvania around the Pittsburgh area.  She started dancing at the age of two. Miss Maddie trained in various styles including jazz, tap, ballet, acro/tumbling, hip hop, jazz funk, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, modern, and musical theater. Highlights of her twelve years of studio training include regional and national titles, and being the recipient of numerous scholarships. She held the title of Miss Starquest for three consecutive years. Miss Maddie was also given the opportunity of being a Shock “prodigy assistant.”  Miss Maddie attended Point Park University’s pre-professional program prior to attending the University of the Arts; majoring in Dance with a minor in Musical Theatre. Most recently, she had the opportunity of attending Broadway Dance Center’s Musical Theater Intensive where she had the opportunity of training with Rachelle Rack, Ricky Hinds, Sarah O’Gleby from Frozen The Musical, and many others. Miss Maddie’s extensive teaching experience includes mommy and me, tumbling/acro, beginner through advanced classes in jazz, tap, ballet, and hip hop along with master class series in stretch and strength for dancers and musical theater for dancers. But when asked her specialty, she always replies jazz and contemporary jazz.
